☕️Bi-Weekly Brew: New York Giants Edition
By The Dynasty Cafe · July 2, 2026 · Play For Keeps Articles
Welcome back to The Dynasty Cafe for the fourth installment of the ☕️Bi-Weekly Brew, where I provide some special blends for YOUR specific build. Be sure to try out the previous Brew if you missed it! Last time, I gave a shoutout to the Commanders and identified some spicy trade targets for contenders and rebuilders alike.
Today, we close out our NFC EAST journey and take a look at the New York Giants. They paired potential franchise QB Jaxson Dart with Head Coach John Harbaugh. Will this combo breed fantasy success? Let’s take a look at the guys YOU should be targeting for your teams.
☕️Bi-Weekly Brew Themes☕️
For those that are new: welcome in! Here’s what you’ll find in each edition of the ☕️Bi-Weekly Brew:
In each brew, we will assume super flex is in play, with full point PPR and .5 TEP.
For each team, we’ll be identifying:
☕️Our House Blend: the perfect player for any build
☕️The Espresso Shot: a player to provide that high upside boost to your rebuilding team
☕️The Dark Roast: ole reliable, a player that can push a contender to its peak
☕️House Blend: Jaxson Dart☕️
This will be a continued theme throughout the series: acquire young, productive QBs when you can. Jaxson showed us last year he has the rushing potential to be a fantasy superstar, giving us six games with over 50 rushing yards. This rushing upside propelled him to producing four Top 5 weekly finishes. Pair him with John Harbaugh who utilized Lamar Jackson to his fullest, and you get a match made in heaven. Dart has the potential to score points to carry contenders, while also having the youthful longevity (only 23 years old) to sit on a rebuilding team. He is perfect for any team.

Let's take a look at the Sharp Tracker and break down a couple Jaxson Dart trades. First, we'll look at a trade contenders can make to acquire Dart:
While this trade is unlikely to be pulled off, I selected this trade for the premise. If you're a QB away from a championship push, turn those future draft assets into players who can score you points NOW! It'll likely take a bit more in your leagues to get Dart, but don't be afraid to use those 27 and 28 picks to land him.
Rebuilding trades look a bit different. The goal is to get younger. This trade below is a perfect example of a move I would try to make:

The name here is less important than the process. I would do this trade with guys like Lamar Jackson, Tyler Shough, and even Josh Allen, though I would be looking to get a lot more than just Dart straight up for Allen. And before anyone comes at me: I know you can't trade Shough straight up for Dart. I mentioned him as a guy I would look to throw additional assets on to go get younger at QB and get Dart. The idea behind these moves is simple: as a rebuilder, you're looking for points down the road, not necessarily right now. You need guys who will still be scoring points in a couple years. While Dart will score points now, rebuilders are acquiring him because he has built in longevity given his age to also be scoring points later. In a few seasons, Lamar, Hurts, and Allen will likely be falling off the production cliff and be less valuable than Dart. Take your aging QBs and go get younger to build that base for a future title run!
☕️Espresso Shot: Malik Nabers☕️
I know, I know: there’s a lot of uncertainty around Malik coming off injury. However, Malik will only be 23 going into this season. Superstar receivers (especially one’s sub 25 years of age) don’t grow on trees. For rebuilders, you don’t need Malik to return to his rookie year form right away. Remember what he produced in his rookie season: a WR6 finish with five finishes in the Top 5, and that was without Dart! There’s time for him to return to form while the rest of your roster is filled out around him. Seize the opportunity that has presented itself because of the injury concerns and go get your WR1 of the future!

Let's visit the Sharp Tracker and get an idea of what a trade for Malik could look like:

De'Von Achane is extremely talented. No doubt about it. However, WRs have a longer shelf life in the NFL than RBs. RB's touch the ball significantly more than WRs, which builds wear and tear more quickly on their bodies. See the below charts for production differences between RBs and WRs at different points of their career. This data was pulled from an article written by Tristan Bassett on 4for4.com in an article from 2025 titled "Production Curves: Positional Breakouts, Prime Years, and Falloffs by Age".

With WRs producing for longer into their careers, and Malik being younger than Achane, I love this type of move for a rebuilder.
☕️The Dark Roast: Cam Skattebo☕️
Cam was looking like the steal of rookie drafts in 2025 before breaking his fibula and dislocating his ankle against the Eagles. While Cam is young, he doesn’t quite fit the needs of rebuilders, as it is hard to project the future longevity of a 4th round RB. However, he does have the production upside to help teams who are contending. Last season, he had 10+ points in 7 of the 8 games he appeared in. His only game below 10 points was Week 1 when he only saw 12% of the snaps. Once he carved out a role in week 2, he was a lock for double digit points. He can slot into a room as an RB2 and provide RB1 upside on a weekly basis. An RB sitting in an offense with as much upside as the Giants is worth the gamble for contenders.

Let's take a look at the Sharp Tracker to identify moves contenders can make to drastically improve their RB rooms for a playoff push:

This one is a win on many fronts. First off, you shed some years at the RB position, going from the aging Jacobs to the younger Skatt. Second, you get off an RB who has been slowing in efficiency and relying more on TDs. Skatt provides some level of receiving floor that can help cancel out a no TD performance. I also project the Giants to be even more reliant on the running game now that John Harbaugh is in town, which should only increase Cam's chances for points. Thirdly, no legal risks with Cam up to this point. You don't need to worry about Cam potentially receiving a suspension, something that still looms over Jacobs. For a contender, that 29 first round pick isn't super important. Get the points that will help you win now and worry about 29 picks in the future.
